  • Heat a pot, add in dal, potato, tomato, onions, green chilli. Cover with water and bring it to boil. Simmer it for 20 to 30 mins till the dal and everything is cooked.
  • Now add in sambar powder, tamarind pulp, salt and sugar. Mix well and simmer for 5 mins.
